Blue-Forest Evening

By Michael Aaron Gallagher

Love is a golden rising sun,
The blue-forest evening,
And the unsteady fawn.

She holds the budding rose,
Within her slender grasp,
The unspoken thoughts,
She still holds back.

Love is the passion starlit night,
The warm embrace,
After the embittered fight.

She is sweet romance,
On wings that will take flight.
