In my travels, I often photograph the many different species of butterflies I see. I thought I would share some of my favorite butterfly photos. The pictures were taken at Butterfly Wonderland in Scottsdale, Arizona (the largest butterfly conservatory in the United States), the Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden in Rochester, New York (the only butterfly garden open year-round in New York State), the butterfly garden at Zoo New York in Watertown, NY and the rest were photographed in the wild. Special thanks to Anna, Manager of Live Collections at The Strong for identifying many of the butterflies pictured. I will be sure to add more photos in the future, as I photograph new species of these remarkable, delicate creatures.
