Art Collector

Michael Aaron Gallagher is an international art collector who owns more than 200 original oil paintings, signed, limited edition fine art photographs by famous photographers, as well as bronze and stone sculptures and other works of art. His private collection, which is on display in several locales, features post-modern art, impressionism, 19th Century landscapes, antique portraits, contemporary figurative paintings, Pop Surrealism, 20th Century sculptures and Latin art.

The diverse collection includes works by artists from more than 20 countries around the globe, including France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Poland, Holland, Denmark, Hungary, Argentina, Ecuador, Bolivia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Belize, Zambia, Malaysia, China, and the United States.

Several of the paintings have been displayed in prestigious locations, including the Grand Palais on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Royal Gallery in Montreal, The Pastel Society’s Annual Exhibition in Great Britain, the San Diego County Fiesta Art Exhibition and fine art galleries across the country.

At 44″ x 34″, this life-size portrait of a girl by DeWitt Clinton Peters (1865-1948) is the second largest oil painting in The Michael Aaron Gallagher Fine Art Collection.

From Sean Madden’s surrealist portrait of President Lincoln, which was featured on the cover of a magazine to Lydia Amanda Brewster Sewell’s portrait of a young girl studied at Harvard University’s Fogg Museum in the 1940s, the unique pieces that make up this collection are vibrant examples of art in the 19th, 20th and 21st Centuries.

Art connoisseurs and celebrities have collected other works by the award-winning artists presented in The Michael Aaron Gallagher Fine Art Collection and their paintings have been showcased on the walls of fine art galleries, esteemed auction houses Christie’s and Sotheby’s, national embassies and museums around the world.

In addition to the oil paintings on display in various exhibits, he also has a small number of original pastel and charcoal drawings, sketches, acrylic paintings, watercolors and original photography.

One of the key missions behind The Michael Aaron Gallagher Fine Art Collection is to inspire and inform the public about the art and the artists featured. Through artist research conducted in multiple languages, to engaging artists in interviews and sharing photographs of their work in the online gallery, it is Michael’s hope to build an online resource for artists and art connoisseurs around the world with the goal of one day opening an art museum dedicated to the works in The Collection and its mission.
