In 2012, Michael Aaron Gallagher was an Associate Producer of Exiles, starring Troian Bellisario (who played Spencer Hastings on ABC Family’s hit series Pretty Little Liars) and Shane Coffey (Pretty Little Liars). Based on the classic love story “Romeo and Juliet,” the film asks the question, “What if the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet wasn’t that they died… but that they lived?”
“When I interviewed actor Keegan Allen about ‘Pretty Little Liars’ back in March, he talked about how dedicated Troian was as an actress and he told me about her love for Shakespearean plays. I was impressed, and it really stayed with me,” Gallagher said. “I knew that she would bring that passion and dedication not only to writing but also starring in her film, and that she would bring a powerful story to the screen.”
The film was screened at the San Diego Film Festival and the MARFA Film Festival.
THE LAST GREAT ROMANTIC COMEDY (2012)

The heartwarming coming-of-age story by Director Yulin Huang, First Kiss was filmed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was an official selection of the HollyShorts Film Festival. The plot centers on 14-year-old Adam Schoenberger, as he discovers that romance and real-life are sometimes complicated by a game of spin the bottle.
STEP ONE (2012)
In 2012, Michael Aaron Gallagher was an Associate Producer of Step One written by Hollywood screenwriter Allison Burnett (Resurrecting the Champ) and directed by Max Gold. Part comedy, part drama this smartly written short film explores a life-changing conversation between two addicts in a coffee shop.

He was credited as an Executive Producer of two New York city-based independent short films, Terminus by award-winning Director Barnett Brettler and Other Days by Director Adam Gundersheimer. He was also a financial backer of the films Kids on the Run by director Nolan Wilson Goff and No Hay Nada Mas (an official selection of the Cannes Film Festival) by Director Giovanni Solis. In 2012, he was also an Associate Producer of Through a Child’s Eyes by director Ashlee Rose Scott.
