By Michael Aaron Gallagher
I remember all those summer days
Chasing you around
And trying to understand your crazy ways
There was a seductive tease in the way you laughed
That said we would have a romance someday
The sweetest kisses are the ones for which you wait
Some things may never come to pass
But all good things are made to last
There were questions in my heart I wanted to ask
I had so many hopes
But wishful thinking’s just beyond my grasp
In my dreams, I’m still waiting there for you
I spent all my wishes, making them for you
The words I never spoke to you were true
I should have said I saved the last dance that night for you.
